I just finished reading Female Chauvinist Pigs by Ariel Levy today. I really liked her writing style – it’s contemporary and easy to follow along with. The author certainly promotes thinking for yourself, especially when it comes to your sexuality. She feels that most women take the popular, easy route of defining their sexuality (all for a man), instead of making it a personal, learning experience to enjoy and discover. I’m sick of people trying to tell me what’s sexy and acceptable. I’m tired of in-my-face raunch culture. Go and read it! It’s also available online at

Next up I’m reading Transforming a Rape Culture, which has selected essays and other various writings from many contributors, touching on topics of rape in the church married life, popular sports, media violence towards women and everything in between.

Mothers Day is tomorrow! Don’t forget your mommas! ♥
