IBar & Movies.

After leaving a message to reschedule an interview with Macy’s, I didn’t hear anything for five days. Well, today I got a phone call to reschedule the interview so I’m as good as hired! I’m actually excited about working full-time (finally!) at only one job. I am also hoping I can get weekends off, but I don’t know yet. I’ll probably find out tomorrow at my last interview! Money, yay!

Friday night I went to I-Bar with my sister and a couple of her friends. I met up with my friend Sara, the future F-16 pilot, and her boyfriend that looks like Haydn Christiensen. $1 PBRs. Later, Steve showed up and danced to some funky music with meh. When I met her boyfriend Chris, he was saying that we ladies “intimidated him” because we h0t ladies are going to be working aboard multi-million dollar air craft.

“Well, what do you do?”
“I’m working on my PhD at UCF.”

In movie news, I saw Cloverfield on Saturday night. That movie was really intense! Would I see it again? Probably not. But overall it was a creative take on your typical monster movie. The best part was when the Zooey Deschanel look-alike … popped!

Sunday I saw Juno, finally. It’s embarrassing I waited so long to see it in the first place. What an amazing movie. It needs a nomination for best picture, I think! Take that, big-budget Hollywood with your crappy script-writing and stupid overblown special effects! An interesting, down-to-earth story will beat that any day. Take your over-abundance of cheesy comic book movies & remakes and shove it. Anyway, I loved the dry humor and how they portrayed Juno… she doesn’t really know who she is as a person, but knows what she wants to do in a difficult situation. Really interesting, realistic characters.

I love rock n’ roll…

This weekend is FX Convention. Next weekend is party central in Ft. Walton Beach. I really should say no to FX because of money purposes, so maybe I’ll find a way out of it. Does that make me a bad person? I know, I’ll use the work excuse! Shhh….
