Another Day…

I don’t think I posted this photo of a fabulous outfit I wore a while ago…

… & let it be known that Marquis in Germany has the most beautiful cocktail hats right now! At least Dita’s inane skankiness paid off in the mainstream fashion world: it’s now much easier to find these types of hats! Even places like Urban Outfitters are stocking cute evening hats, which I have greedily snatched up.

In other news, the last of my vinyl collection arrived today, along with my Fiestaware china. UPS chipped my disc pitcher, but I insured it so they’ll be replacing it. However, these records are POWMIA:

          – Molly Hatchet: Flirtin’ With Disaster
          – Beethoven: 9th Symphony, 4th Movement
          – Billy Joel: The Stranger

What an odd combination to go missing. I think perhaps someone stole them while they were in storage at Matt’s? The world may never know. I don’t blame anyone in particular, of course… (perhaps his less than reputable “new” girlfriend?). & as for that entire thing, Matt and I have kept in touch through an occasional phone chat. I called him Christmas Eve & we chatted for about an hour. I seemed to have lifted his spirits, and we got on like old pals again. That’s how things should be. I always wondered if we would have been better off as friends; I think now we have that relationship again. I have a certain fondness for him, of course, but in the sense that I want to check up on him every now and then to make sure he hasn’t spiraled into an oblivion (gate). He’s my video game pal… I don’t have any other friends who enjoy Fable II and Star Wars as much as I do.

  1. i like to hope that someday my ex and i can be friends again. he really was my best friend and i am taking it hard cause i lost that, not just my boyfriend.

and omg! moving in. scary but exciting. all my friends gave me shit for wanting that. im a home body, i want my boy in the same area as me. not a phone or a drive away.

  2. It’s been awhile since I’ve read your journal (or anyone’s really). I didn’t know that you were dating someone (that’s wonderful). Did you meet him when you were doing that Air Force Training thing? That’s cool you’re moving in with him. It’s definately quite the experience. Angela have been living with each other (whether in her apartment or my mom’s basement for the past 2.5 years.
